Centurion first came to our notice at the 2002 AAA National Show in Victoria, where he took out the title of Champion Senior Male. We were extremely impressed with his fleece, which exhibited brilliant luster, soft handle, excellent staple definition and uniform crimp throughout. His correct conformation and quiet disposition were added bonuses.
We purchased him from his breeders, Murray and Judy Stannard in WA, early in 2003 - and that same year we were delighted when he again took out the Champion Senior Male title at the AAA National Show in Canberra. We then retired him from the ring - by then he had won 6 Supreme Championships and numerous other broad ribbons.
His offspring are now being seen in shows with considerable success - he was winner of the Sires Progeny title at both the Sydney Royal 2005 and the Hawkesbury Spring Show 2006. Among his broad ribbon winning progeny are: Encantador Faberge, Alpacandes Kimberley, Alpacandes Spartacus, Alpacandes Yolanthe ET, Forestview Diosma, Keiana Lodge Lucky Lady, Pacofino Marius, Pacofino Lavinia, Monteagle Wedding Veil, Monteagle Plumbob, and in NZ - Karismac Showgirl, Karismac Norma Jean and Karismac Merlot.
Centurion is indeed a very special stud male, and his influence can greatly enhance the quality of your herd.
He is now over 12 years old, but his progeny continue to excel. In March 2010, he won the Sires Progeny division at the Castle Hill Show with his daughter La Bella and his son The Judge!

At the 2010 AAA National Show & Sale, we purchased a half share in this boy, in conjunction with Ian & Annette Frith of 'Millpaca Alpaca Stud', Berry. Mystic Challenge, MC for short, had just taken out the National title of Champion Mature Male, and has since taken out the same title at the 2011 Canberra Royal.
We see him as an excellent male to use over our girls, who are largely of Encantador Centurion bloodlines.
Apart from MC's excellent and well known sire, his dam's pedigree includes Windsong Valley Iceman and Purrumbete Highlander, both needing no introduction.
His first cria are now on the ground and available for inspection.

Marcello started his show career in 2005 and for a brown male he did very well.
He was placed;
1st at the Boorowa Show,
2nd at the Castle Hill Show,
2nd at the Hawkesbury Agricultural Show and
4th place ribbon at the Sydney Royal

As an adult male, in 2006, he was awarded;
1st place at the Boorowa Show,
2nd at Castle Hill,
4th at Sydney Royal and
3rd at the National Show in Canberra.

He recieved many favourable comments from the judges inlcuding;

  • Heavy cutting
  • Good coverage throughout his body
  • Very fine fleece

    He started working at the end of 2007 with his first cria on the ground in October 2008.
    This cria Redgum Lealani (a nice Solid Light Brown female) was awarded a;
    1st place ribbon at the '2009 Hawkesbury Agricultural Show', and displays the same qualities as her sire.

    One of Marcello's cria, Redgum Hugo, who arrived in October of 2009 is also quite stunning.
